To the Editor (Fairfield
Minuteman),
"This is an open letter of
appreciation for Nick’s
Precision Automotive on
Tunxis Hill Road in
Fairfield. I stumbled upon
Nick’s when my emissions
sticker expired and I am
ever so grateful that I did.
I needed a major repair done
recently and in addition to
having awesome mechanics
that really know their
stuff, they’re so very
friendly and accommodating,
conscientious and
efficient. Most
importantly, they are honest
people. Nick’s is a
family-run business, a dying
breed here in Fairfield with
all the larger companies
taking the place of the
good, old-fashioned Mom and
Pop business. Thank you so
much to Nick and the entire
staff!"

There
is no better feeling for a
business owner than to open
the newspaper and read
praises from a satisfied
customer. With as much
effort as my staff and I put
forth on customer care, I've
been in business long enough
to know that you just can't
please everyone. I am happy
to say that this letter in
truly the general
feedback
that most customers relay to
us on a daily basis.
In response to this letter
of recognition, I would like
to pose a very simple
question. Would you walk
into a store and buy
whatever they had on the
shelf? The answer is simply
no. Would you buy meds from
a guy that came to your
front door and rang the
bell? No. So now to the
point of the question, will
you take your car to a
garage because it just down
the street or solely because
your friends son works
there? There are a million
reasons, and your answer may
be yes to some of these. If
so, as a reputable business
owner, I urge you to take
stock in your decision
making when choosing a
quality repair shop. I write
this with the utmost
confidence in myself, my
entire qualified staff and
my business. If you are in
need of a repair or just
have a question about your
car, either myself or any of
my ASE certified techs are
more than happy to speak
with you.
To be quite honest, I am
tired of the rip off
mechanics and shops that
give me and other very
honest and qualified
members of this trade a bad
name. This letter to you is
my word and my promise to
you as a valued customer,
that you will be treated
like family when you com
into our shop. As Leanne
said in her much appreciated
testimonial, we are a dying
breed, us Mom and Pop shops,
but I can assure you I'm not
going anywhere!
Thank you and hope to see
you soon!
